Heritage Quilters raffle quilt 2017

When Four Seasons Stitchery moved from founder, Jane Benson's father's garage into our present building 30+ years ago, she moved into room #114. In 1991, she moved into our present location. Now we have expanded back into #114; I like to think of it as going back home. - Shelley

Four Seasons Stitchery has been lucky enough the past few years to obtain the Red Shed at Spruce Forest Artisan Village in the months of June, July and August.  We sell "quilts and other needful things" in this quaint location; sort of a mini quilt show among the other artisans. Spruce Forest is located next to Penn Alps Restaurant in Grantsville. Arrangements are currently being made to continue this tradition in 2018.

Once again we participated in row-by-row. "On The Go" was the theme for 2017. From June 21st to September 5th, those accepting the challenge stopped in any participating store and received a free pattern. Go to rowbyrowexperience.com to get full details and rules so you are ready for the campaign of 2018.

The Country Roads Shop Hop was held October 18th - 21st. The pattern (above, right) "Liberty for All" was designed by Celine Perkins.  Quilters of all ages enjoyed traveling to each of 9 local shops collecting pieces of the pattern, entering drawings for daily prizes, and enjoying snacks and conversation with like fanatics. Next fall, plan a car load of ladies and have a fun day out with us!

Also in October, The Heritage Quilters held their annual quilt show (during Autumn Glory in Oakland, MD). It was a nice show and always provides lots of ideas and inspiration. The group raffled the quilt (below) as a fundraiser.  We have details about this club and invite new members to join.

Happy Fall and Winter to all our loyal customers!

We look forward to seeing you and your new handiwork as you create.
